Igor Julio may only have arrived at Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of the season, but his name is already back in the Italian rumour mill.
As newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport today writes about the targets that AC Milan have for the next transfer window, they claim the Brazilian is one of them.
It’s said the Rossoneri want ‘solidity’ in their defence and they’ve now started looking at Igor, who became one of their ‘latest ideas’.
Brighton paid €17m, plus €3m in bonuses, to get him from Fiorentina last summer. According to Gazzetta, that’s the exact same price they’d demand to let him go now.
It seems clear that Milan are still to make their move for the signing, with the newspaper making it clear that operation is ‘just a thought’ for now.
Even though Igor didn’t have his dream debut season at Brighton, we’d like to see if the Seagulls are really ready to part ways with him for the same price they paid.
The club still need to find a new manager, anyway, and that will surely be crucial for that particular decision.
