Manchester United remain in the hunt for Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani after enquiring about him in the January transfer window.
That’s according to SportBILD, who say a move to Old Trafford is ‘complicated’ as different agents need to be brought in to make such a deal happen.
The newspaper reports that Manchester United are still interested in the striker, who managed 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 games in all competitions last season.
However, ‘this is where it gets complicated’ as new advisors have now been added to the mix for a possible move to the Premier League.
According to the newspaper, three agencies are now working on the transfer: his current advisor Moussa Sissoko, his former agency MDC, who took him to Frankfurt and have been mandated by the club to arrange the transfer, including a 10% share in the resale, and then CAA Base.
The latter were brought in by MDC because of their ‘good network’ in England, which they presumably believe would help facilitate a transfer to Manchester United.
Interestingly CAA Base represent Raphaël Varane and United youngster Ethan Galbraith, so they do already have contacts in place if the Red Devils push for Muani.
It’s a bizarre move from MDC, though, who have ensured that an extra percentage will have to be paid out and complicated things even further.
Big agencies very rarely collaborate on transfers as big as this one so it’s strange for two, and then a third agent in Sissoko to all be involved in a possible deal for Muani.
It means a transfer to Manchester United, or anywhere else for that matter, is unlikely to be finalised any time soon as the agencies all work to try and make things reach a positive conclusion.
