RB Leipzig just will not be told on Ademola Lookman.

Ralf Rangnick, the club’s sport director and coach, reacted to Marco Silva’s not-for-sale stance by saying he doesn’t give up so easily.

Kicker say there’s ‘new hope’, and that the ‘poker’ around the potential transfer is set to intensify soon. The renewed confidence has come from Everton being on the verge of completing the Bernard signing.

Both are left footed wingers, so that’s likely where the idea is coming from.

Kicker say that for Lookman, who they state wants to return to the Bundesliga club anyway, it only provides further competition and decreases his chances at Everton.

The new Everton demand of €33m is mentioned, and interestingly it’s stated RB Leipzig would only be willing to go as high as €20m.

Previously they’d reported in Germany that Everton’s asking price was €20m, and RB Leipzig wouldn’t match it.

Rangnick is refusing to give up.
