The heat around Jason Sancho to Manchester United has risen so much on Monday that it would be no surprise if some fans are already tracking private jets booked to travel out of Germany.
However, the claims today have almost entirely been coming from England, with the slant of things being imminent not mirrored in Germany. There’s been plenty of claims about a deal being in progress, yet not quite as far down the line as some reports.
Now Sky Deutschland report a ‘new development’. According to their own information, it’s stated Manchester United and Sancho have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ on a five year contract.
Sky then state that negotiations are ongoing between the Premier League club and Borussia Dortmund, but ‘no agreement has yet been reached’.
Jesco von Eichmann, who works for Sky, believes neither club wants to lose face, so for that to happen BVB would likely get their €120m headline figure, whilst United would be able to pay in instalments, as is common with big transfers.
