From Germany: Manchester City player may need operation – Situation worse than thought

Leroy Sane’s potential move to Bayern Munich isn’t looking great on Wednesday.

In the morning, Bild reported the transfer was wobbling, because of the injury Sane picked up against Liverpool at the weekend. Manchester City, according to the German newspaper, hadn’t been able to fully examine the player’s right knee because there was fluid in place.

On Wednesday afternoon, Bild have worse fitness news.

They say, again according to their own information, that Sane’s injury is worse than previously thought, and that the Manchester City player may even need an operation.

There’ll be a further investigation tomorrow, and the potential operation is said to be why the Premier League champions have kept quiet about the situation.

Bild say that should Sane go under the knife then he’s set to be out for months, and it leaves a transfer to Bayern unclear. A deal wouldn’t be completely killed, with there being the possibility Sane could move and then recover in Germany.
