Pierre-Michel Lasogga watched Leeds United at the weekend, ahead of an increasingly likely move to the Championship club.

The Hamburg owned striker was at Elland Road as Leeds United stuttered to a 0-0 draw with Preston North End, and whilst the game certainly won’t have thrilled Lasogga, he’ll have left with an idea of the size of the club.

Germany’s Die Welt report Lasogga watched the match, and it comes after fans spotted the striker at a hotel in Leeds over the weekend.

Claims originated from Germany last week of potential move for Lasogga and things have gone quickly since. Hamburg are keen to offload the player’s wages, and he’s not currently in the club’s plans.

Die Welt report that Lasogga’s potential move to Leeds United is closing in, and it’s once again noted the club want a purchase option at the end of the potential temporary move.

That shouldn’t be too much of a problem to arrange, given how keen HSV are for a deal to happen.
