Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen is set return to the staring line up when the Super Lig champions face Liverpool next week. That’s according to claims from Turkey and there’s confidence he can start the Champions League match.
The Nigeria international joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal from Napoli during the summer after impressing on loan last season.
Sporx report Osimhen won’t be risked in Friday’s game against Alanyaspor. They want to protect him for their clash with Liverpool on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has struggled to for fitness since his return to Istanbul. He missed the start of pre-season and has been managing an ankle problem. This has restricted him to just two starts in the opening six Super Lig games.
Osimhen will join up with the squad on Saturday and will be involved in tactical preparation ahead of Liverpool’s visit to RAMS Park.
Gala will hope the Nigerian’s return helps them bounce back from the 5-1 defeat to Frankfurt. Liverpool will be going into the game with confidence after they beat Atletico Madrid last week.
