Bayern Munich won’t move for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Luka Vuskovic, despite being offered the chance to sign him.
That’s according to SportBILD. They report that the Tottenham youngster is simply being monitored for the time being.
The newspaper has a big spread on Bayern’s transfer plans moving forwards. They explain that central defence is not an area they’re particularly worried about.
Bayern Munich already have three options in there anyway and plan to use Josip Stanisic centrally more next season if they complete a deal for Givairo Read as planned. Thus, a centre-back is not on their lit of requirements for now.
Which is why they are yet to move for Vuskovic. They’ve been monitoring his performances for HSV this season closely. He’s been impressing at the German club while on loan from Tottenham.
And they have also been offered him. Although there is no mention of who did the offering at this stage. Either way, Bayern won’t be making a move, but they will continue to monitor the Tottenham defender this season and perhaps next.
Tottenham youngster impressing on loan
The youngster has been shining in the Bundesliga since his arrival from Tottenham in the summer. His impressive performances have already seen him named Bundesliga Player of the Season so far as well as Rookie of the Month twice. He also won Goal of the Month in October and Goal of the Year as well.
The loan from Tottenham only runs until the summer, although Vuskovic has been vocal about his desire to stay with HSV. He wants to play alongside his brother, Mario Vuskovic. He’s currently suspended until November with a doping ban.
That would, also, presumably, rule out a move to Bayern for the time being. Fortunately, it seems they’re not interested anyway for now, despite Vuskovic, or his agents, going to the bother of offering his services.
