Brighton and Hove Albion’s interest in Juventus youngster Enzo Barrenechea is causing a headache for Juventus, who can’t decide whether to keep him or sell.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who cover him and two other Juventus youngsters today and the dilemma the Serie A side find themselves in regarding their futures.
Brighton’s interest in the youngster became apparent at the end of the January transfer window, with it explained they had been keeping an eye on his performances while on loan at Frosinone.
Indeed, they had put the defensive midfielder under ‘special observation’ as they continue to monitor the world for young talent to scoop up.
Contact had been made with his entourage over a possible deal and it was explained that Juventus had yet to decide whether to keep him for the future.
CM back that up, explaining that ‘the future is a puzzle’ when it comes to the youngster as several clubs, including Brighton, have taken turns to ask for information about the player.
That’s left Juventus pondering what to do, because while they see a player with talent, one who could be useful to them as an alternative to Manuel Locatelli or even alongside him, there is also the possibility of raising funds from a sale.
Thus, they are caught in two minds, do they keep him, or do they sell him? Both have their positives and negatives, and it seems Brighton’s approach has them debating both internally.
