Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen has admitted he’s been finding recent rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea a lot of fun.
The Danish U21 international has been speaking to Tipsbladet about the rumours around Chelsea and how he’s more than happy to see them.
The 22-year-old has just come off the back of a solid season with Villarreal, relegating Pepe Reina to the bench and playing in 36 of 38 possible league games.
It was something of a break out season for the 22-year-old, who is now first choice in goal and has solidified that with impressive performances across the campaign.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several reports naming Jørgensen among potential targets for Chelsea this summer as they look for a new number one for Enzo Maresca’s squad.
They signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton last summer, but he spent large parts of the season out injured, with Djordje Petrovic filling in for much of the campaign.
That’s led to reports of them seeking a new goalkeeper and Jørgensen reportedly being on the list of options being looked at, something he is more than flattered by.
“It is fun. It shows that I have done something good and done it well,” he said.
“It is hard to say (about his future). I just want to get better every day and do the best I can. There is no definite plan. If something good comes up, we can talk about it and look at what is best for me, for Villarreal and everyone involved.”
