Earlier this week, reports from the Brazilian media said Fulham are interested in Corinthians midfielder Fausto Vera.
It was claimed by journalist Jorge Nicola that the Whites were one of the clubs who recently made an approach for the player, along with the likes of Sporting and Fiorentina.
Now it’s time for the Italian press to back that up, with Corriere dello Sport mentioning Fulham’s chase in a fresh story.
The outlet starts by explaining the attraction of Vera, and then claims that the likes of Fiorentina and AC Milan have set their eyes on him.
Then it’s said that in ‘recent days’, a ‘proposal has emerged’ from Fulham.
It isn’t clear how much the Whites are willing to pay for the transfer, with Corriere dello Sport only mentioning that Corinthians currently demand €10m for a deal.
The whole competition seems to be in the very early stages for now, with potential bids from the Italian sides not even getting a mention so far.
Fulham had been in contact with Corinthians last year, when they signed Willian on a free transfer.
