Fulham

Fulham are yet to make an offer to Real Madrid for César Palacios but have taken note of Alvaro Arbeloa’s desire to sign him this summer.

Journalist Joel Guerrero reports on the Real Madrid youngster today, referencing Fulham’s interest in the 21-year-old.

Fulham interest

Sport Witness covered a report five days ago explaining that Arbeloa had added César Palacios to the list of Real Madrid names he was looking at.

The Fulham manager has close ties to the Spanish giants, particularly the youth set up, and is eyeing several signings from that area for Fulham this summer. Palacios is reportedly one of them.

But according to Guerrero, Fulham are yet to make any moves for the attacking midfielder. He reports on Palacios today, explaining that Cesc Fabregas and Como are ‘determined’ to sign him this summer.

They’ve already brought in Mattia Liberali, a player with a similar profile to the Real Madrid youngster, but the Spanish coach still wants the Real Madrid youth prospect. He will do everything that he can to convince him of the move to Italy.

Fulham yet to move

Fulham, meanwhile, are yet to get properly involved. They haven’t contacted Real Madrid about the youngster so far. But they have taken note of Arbeloa’s request to sign the youngster this summer.

Palacios, for his part, is yet to make a decision about his future. The ball is very much in his court when it comes to a transfer. He had previously given Como his word and they ‘remain on standby’ to get him if they can.

Fulham, then, have a decision to make. Do they push now for a signing that Arbeloa has made it clear that he wants, or wait until late in the summer? If it’s the latter, they risk losing him to Como, who are seemingly waiting for the player’s word before snapping him up.
