Fulham are ‘willing’ to match Sevilla’s €15m demands for winger Lucas Ocampos but are yet to make a formal offer for the Argentine.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say the Spanish side won’t put any ‘impediments’ in front of the move if they receive such an offer.
Ocampos has been linked with Fulham throughout this week as Marco Silva’s side look to strengthen before the end of the window.
Various reports have had the potential deal at different stages, with it claimed they’ve struck an agreement with both the player and Sevilla.
Neither of those appear to be true, though, with it instead reported throughout Spain earlier today that Ocampos wasn’t particularly keen on the switch and needed convincing.
ABC now follow that up today and say Fulham are indeed keen on Ocampos and ‘intend’ to give Sevilla’s sports management something to do before Friday’s deadline.
Ocampos has ‘caught the attention’ of those in charge at Craven Cottage and they would be ‘willing’ to make an offer for the player worth around €15m.
Sevilla initially had no intention of releasing him this summer but they’re now not completely against it and if he decides to leave, they ‘will not put any impediments’ in his way.
While reports in England have indicated an agreement between Fulham and Ocampos is close that is not something they are confirming in Nervión.
As far as they are concerned, they’re yet to receive a formal offer for the player so there is nothing to do at the moment but if Fulham make it, they’re open to a deal and then reinvesting the funds.
