This morning, we covered a piece from Corriere Dello Sport which said Fulham are still in ‘pole position’ for the signing of Justin Kluivert from Roma.
With the player set to find a new club ‘this week’, it’s said the Giallorossi are working on his departure, but the problem is that the Serie A side want him sold (or a loan with an obligation to buy).
The reporter, however, makes it clear there’s no deal between Roma and the Craven Cottage side yet.
Somewhat corroborating Corriere, his story says the Serie A side want a permanent deal worth €10m plus the percentage of a future sale, and a loan is ‘out of question’.
Kluivert is said to be a target for clubs from Italy, German and Portugal, where Benfica and Sporting both made approaches for him, so that may be a sign for Fulham to hurry up in the talks.
