Last week, Calciomercato reported Fulham had made an offer for AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze.

They claimed the London club are serious about signing the Nigerian and want to get him on an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently.

Today’s Corriere dello Sport has an update on Fulham’s intentions.

The newspaper reports AC Milan now need sales to sign more players this summer. Alex Jimenez is being eyed by Como but when it comes to Chukwueze, the Rossoneri have a dilemma on their hands.

This is because key player Rafael Leao is out injured and they are temporarily short of attacking options. Ideally, they would sell the 26-year-old Chukwueze to Fulham but they are now undecided.

Leao will have a training session today which could determine whether he can play in the upcoming game against Lecce or not.

If the Portuguese attacker is fit, Chukwueze’s exit can gain traction and this will be a big positive for Fulham, who are said to be pushing for his signing.

The Craven Cottage side had tried to sign the Nigeria international in January but the move fell through at the end due a lack of time left in the window.
