Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos rejected an opportunity to join Fulham last summer after the Premier League side showed keen interest in securing his services.
Earlier in the season, the 29-year-old had revealed he didn’t consider leaving the La Liga side for Fulham because of his family, who are happy in Spain.
According to Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, Marco Silva’s side ‘return’ for their old target and are ready to make another attempt to sign the forward in the next window.
The Argentina international doesn’t fit into this category and Quique Sánchez Flores wants him at his disposal, if the manager were to continue at the club next season.
Sevilla, on the other hand, have made it clear that every player is transferable, and they will study every offer they will receive for the summer window.
Fulham’s interest in the former Ajax man is pointed out, as they are ‘still looking’ at him. It’s further claimed Marco Silva’s side are ‘willing to improve the financial offer’ they made to both Sevilla and the South American last summer.
Ocampos’s current deal lasts until 2025 and his idea is to continue in Spain, where he and his family are happy. If Fulham’s offer were to please Sevilla, the latter may convince the player to consider moving to the London club.
