Fulham have opened talks with Besiktas over 18-year-old striker Semih Kılıçsoy after scouting him earlier this year.
That’s according to journalists Yağız Sabuncuoğu and Sercan Dikme, who both say Fulham have stepped forward to try and sign the highly rated forward.
Sabuncuoğlu reports that Fulham have made official contact with Besiktas for Kılıçsoy, opening talks to try and sign him this summer.
He offers no information on the potential deal or the cost of it, or even whether the Turkish side will be willing to open talks over their player.
Dikme provides more information on the matter, explaining that Fulham have opened talks and are getting ready to make an official offer worth €20m. Besiktas would be open to doing a deal at such a price point.
He adds that Fulham chief scout Brian Talbot actually opened initial talks with Besiktas two months ago over the player and now other Fulham officials and Besiktas’ Samet Aybaba are continuing those negotiations.
The club’s president Hasan Arat is also following the process closely as Fulham seemingly step up their efforts to get the 18-year-old.
He’s one of the rising stars of Turkish football after manager 12 goals and three assists in 39 games for Besiktas’ senior side, as well as 42 goals and six assists in 64 games for the U19’s previously.
