Having fallen out with José Mourinho at AS Roma, Rick Karsdorp has been on his way out of the Serie A side for a few weeks out.
Clubs are interested, with Fulham widely reported to want to sign him in January, where Marco Silva seems keen on bringing in a new right-back.
Whether he does depends on how much the Craven Cottage are willing to spend in the next few weeks, as Calciomercato.it report on Wednesday that ‘the demand is blocking everything’.
Fulham are said to be ‘pushing hard’ to sign the Dutchman, who would be ‘very ready to leave’ the Serie A side in the coming transfer window.
However, what Roma are asking for makes ‘everything very complicated’, as they want to sell the player outright, rather than loan him out.
Not only that, but their demand is ‘rather high’, desiring around €12m for a player they no longer want at the club.
Those are seen as a ‘double obstacle’ for Fulham, regardless of the fact Karsdorp is ‘disliked’ by Mourinho and ‘unhappy’ with the treatment he has been subjected to in the Italian club.
