Fulham youngster Sylvester Jasper is on his way to Portugal, according to local reports.
Journalist Pedro Sepulveda writes that the 21-year-old will join Portimonense on a three-year deal.
As Jasper’s contract with Fulham expires at the end of the season, he’s been free since January to sign a pre-agreement, and that’s what he’s already done with the Portuguese side.
The deal, however, shouldn’t change the player’s status at Marco Silva’s side, as he wasn’t being used by the manager this season.
Jasper’s permanent departure from Fulham is the end of an era for him, since he joined the club over ten years ago, when he left Queens Park Rangers’ academy in 2012.
Getting promoted through the Whites’ youth ranks, the winger as also involved in loans to Colchester United, Ibernian FC and Bristol Rovers, with whom he started the current season.
Despite all these years belonging to Fulham, he only made three appearances for the club, and those were in the 2019/20 season.
More recently, he’s been kept in the Whites’ U-21 team, and should now have a bigger chance by joining Portimonense’s first team.
