Having left OGC Nice for Fulham in 2018, Maxime Le Marchand featured regularly for the Cottagers before Scott Parker was appointed as their manager.
The defender was restricted to three starts in the Championship last term and one more in the Premier League this season.
He hasn’t made an appearance for the London club since his side’s 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last October.
L’Equipe explain the 31-year-old is ‘requested’ in the Championship, with Bristol City named as a suitor. However, he’s unlikely to stay in England once the window closes on Monday.
It’s claimed Fulham could send him out on loan to Belgian side Royal Antwerp until the end of the season.
Antwerp are second in the Jupiler Pro League table, behind Club Brugge. A temporary move to Royal Antwerp will see Le Marchand feature in the Europa League, where they will face Rangers later this month.
Le Marchand’s return to Nice was studied, but the Ligue 1 side are looking to take Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo, who is currently on loan at Benfica.
