Bayern Munich have identified Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo as a transfer target for January, according to Fussball Transfers.
South Korea’s Kim Min-jae and Morocco’s Noussair Mazraoui will represent their countries at the Asian Cup and AFCON respectively later this month. This has seen the Bundesliga winners look at several options and the Fulham defender is added to the list.
It’s claimed the centre-back is ‘particularly popular’ with Bayern technical director Marco Neppe.
The Bavarian club even watched the 26-year-old live in action during Fulham’s 3-0 loss to AFC Bournemouth on Boxing Day. Despite the result, the outlet points out he received ‘acceptable reviews’ from the English press.
Thomas Tuchel wants a new central defender in the winter market and this has seen the German club particularly focus on the Premier League.
They already have Aston Villa’s Clément Lenglet and Manchester United’s Raphaël Varane in their list and the Fulham player is now the ‘new option’.
Bayern aren’t the only club following Adarabioyo as Napoli are also in the picture. This was revealed by Italian agent and market intermediary Vincenzo Morabito three days ago.
Earlier in the season, Adarabioyo struggled with a groin problem but he’s been a regular for Marco Silva’s side since December.
Towards the end of the summer window, Bayern Munich almost signed Joao Palhinha from Fulham but after that move collapsed they haven’t returned for the midfielder.
