Fulham are preparing to give Willian a new contract, according to reports from Brazil.

Outlet UOL today writes that the the Craven Cottage residents ‘have been working behind the scenes’ to extend the player’s deal, which runs until the end of the season.

It’s claimed Fulham are ‘satisfied’ with the player’s form and would like to extend his contract for one or two years.

For now, the report doesn’t say if the player shares the same intention as the Craven Cottage side, although that’s very likely.

Last summer, Willian was having a hard time at his childhood Corinthians and decided to return to Europe.

Fulham soon brought him to train at the club, and with the player having lived in London for many years, they quickly became the obvious option for him.

Since joining the club, Willian has two goals and three assists in 14 appearances. He’s been starting in most of their games this season, and is clearly one of Marco Silva’s favourites, so it’s no big surprise to seem them wanting to try and prolong the adventure together.
