On Thursday, Trivela stated Fulham have made advances in their pursuit of Fluminense’s André Trindade and that his agent has travelled to London to hold talks with the Premier League side.
It was also reported Marco Silva’s side have made a bid of around €25m to the Brazilian club.
Trivela’s claim is now partly backed up UOL, who provide their take on Fulham’s efforts to sign the midfielder this summer.
Fulham have sold João Palhinha to Bayern Munich yesterday. They have identified André as the main candidate to replace the Portuguese midfielder, and want to make progress to secure his services.
The London club have tried to sign André in the past, and have held talks with Fluminense. They have resumed contact in recent weeks, and the report says Siva’s side have ‘negotiations underway’ with the Brazilian club for the 22-year-old.
Trivela said the Premier League side have made a proposal for the player. UOL indicate no bid has arrived at Fluminense as they are ‘still waiting for an official offer’ from Fulham for André.
UOL add the player is expected to leave this summer, indicating that an offer from Fulham should arrive at some point in the coming days or weeks.
