Sozcu’s Fenerbahce reporter Sercan Hamzaoglu claims the Turkish side have upped their interest in signing midfielder Stefan Johansen but Fulham are not prepared to let the Norwegian leave in this transfer window.

Hamzaoglu says the possibility of a transfer now seems low but also states there may be some surprises before the transfer deadline.

In recent weeks Fenerbahce have been linked with a move for the Norway international, with the story popping up every couple of days or so.

Fenerbahce would need to clean a space in their foreign quota and the Turkish journalist says this could be a problem for the Istanbul club.

Johansen has also been linked with a move to fellow Turkish club Galatasaray in this transfer window.

The former Celtic player is under contract at Craven Cottage until 2019 but Fulham have the option to extend it by another season.

This season Johansen has made 12 Premier League appearances for the West London club.
