Fulham, Leeds and Sunderland have all been credited with interest in Sevilla winger Chidera Ejuke.

The Nigerian’s statistics from last season are unlikely to jump off the page. Ejuke recorded one goal and one assist in 27 La Liga appearances during the 2025/26 campaign. He struggled to produce consistent end product in front of goal.

However, his game this season has never been built solely around goals and assists. The winger remains a direct dribbler who looks to take on defenders and carry the ball into dangerous areas. That appears to have kept him on the radar of clubs around Europe, including Brighton in 2024.

According to Spanish journalist Joel Méndez, Fulham, Leeds United and Sunderland are all among the sides interested in the 28-year-old.

German champions Bayer Leverkusen have also been linked. In fact, the Bundesliga club is described as the most interested party at this stage.

Contract running down at Sevilla

Chidera Ejuke only joined Sevilla last summer after leaving CSKA Moscow, but his situation is already attracting attention ahead of the market.

The winger has one year remaining on his contract, leaving the Spanish club with a decision to make if they want to avoid seeing his value decrease further over the coming months.

Méndez reports that Ejuke carries a valuation of around €4m (£3.4m). As a result, that places him in a price bracket. This price bracket could appeal to a number of clubs across Europe.

The 28-year-old featured regularly when available last season, although his attacking output remained limited. His ability to carry the ball forward and challenge defenders one-on-one nevertheless ensured he remained part of Sevilla’s plans throughout much of the campaign.

All three clubs are expected to be active in the market this summer for different reasons. But at this stage, there is no indication that any of the English clubs have opened negotiations with Sevilla.

Instead, the claim is that they are monitoring a player who enters the final year of his contract with a relatively modest valuation.

For now, Fulham, Leeds and Sunderland have all been placed in the same group of admirers, with Bayer Leverkusen currently viewed as the club showing the strongest level of interest.
