Fulham have become the latest club to be credited with an interest in Girona star Viktor Tsygankov.

The winger impressed for the La Liga side last season and managed eight goals and seven assists from 30 league matches. His displays haven’t gone unnoticed in England.

Friday’s edition of AS says Fulham are one of the clubs in the picture to sign the 26-year-old.

The Ukraine international was forced to miss the first game of this season against Real Betis. He’s now in contention to face Atlético Madrid later this weekend. The newspaper says Tsygankov, Pau López and Bojan Miovski are ready to face Diego Simeone’s side.

It’s claimed the Ukrainian was a ‘destabilising player’ for the opposition last season. Therefore, his return is excellent news for Girona and their manager, Míchel.

The report then states ‘it’s true’ that Premier League sides including Fulham are knocking on Tsygankov’s door.

Marco Silva’s side are the only club to be mentioned in the report. As it stands, the attacker doesn’t seem to be interested in joining Fulham and remains focused on the upcoming clash against Atlético.

The same outlet reported in July that Tsygankov has a €30m release clause. If Fulham can convince him, they can secure his services by triggering the clause.
