Samuel Chukwueze has done quite well in his ongoing loan spell at Fulham. Negotiations are now ongoing over a permanent deal.

When the Nigerian joined the London club, AC Milan inserted an option to buy of €24m. This came after his struggles with the Rossoneri, where expectation has been growing about a permanent exit.

Sport Witness have covered the sentiment, with the Italian side desperate to get the money from Fulham.

The winger has contributed to seven Premier League goals in the campaign so far. Marco Silva’s side want to keep him, however, they want a discount.

Talks ongoing between clubs

PianetaMilan report on the winger’s situation, noting how he has become a starter at Fulham. He has started the last four Premier League games, raising Milan hope.

Now, the Craven Cottage side have ‘officially initiated’ discussions over a transfer.

Fulham don’t want to pay €24m.

It’s believed a deal can be done at between €18m and €20m.

Our take: Fulham right to take advantage

AC Milan have currently won only three of their last nine league games. They have gone from being in a title race to potentially finishing in a Conference League spot.

If they miss out on the Champions League, it would be the second time in as many seasons. There will be massive financial implications, forcing them to make sales and they will be desperate for capital gains.

Fulham probably know this and are playing on it.
