Fulham are expected to join the battle to sign FC Basel Dan Ndoye, according to Fussball Transfers.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from Bologna, Fiorentina and the report states he has already agreed a deal with the Serie A trio. They will have to find an agreement with Basel to conclude the operation.
That won’t be easy as it’s claimed Fulham and an unnamed Bundesliga side are expected make an offer in the ‘next few hours’ and join the transfer race.
It’s not made clear what Marco Silva’s side would be willing to offer for the winger but the website states the Swiss club have received offers of around €8m. This won’t be enough as FT believe Basel are demanding at least €10m to let go of the Switzerland international.
Journalist Dominik Schneider covered the report for FT and he took to Twitter to add that Fulham and a German club could ‘still enter the bidding war’ with the three Italian clubs to sign Ndoye.
Operating in the middle and on both wings last season, Ndoye managed seven goals and five assists from 54 games. He has a goal and three assists from four games this season.
