Fulham are increasingly popping up on Portuguese scouting lists. Helpfully, in Portugal clubs release the lists of scouts attending matches, which can give an indication as to which clubs are looking to recruit from the country.
Over the weekend Fulham had someone watch Pacos de Ferreira versus Moreirense, SC Braga versus Vitoria Guimaraes, and Feirense versus Estoril. The plan seems to be to watch the smaller clubs in Portugal, hoping that a bargain can be picked up along the way.
Right now Fulham are the Championship club scouting the most Portuguese matches, and it’s not often that a club from England’s second tier pays so much attention in such a short space of time.
Perhaps Fulham are looking to recruit as soon as the current transfer window, and are still trying to locate the perfect target. There’s not a great deal of time left for them to do so.
