Last week, AreaNapoli nudged forward Leeds United as a possible destination for Napoli’s Noa Lang, but now it’s believed Fulham can now bring the Dutchman to the Premier League.
Leeds United had been linked to Noa Lang for years, going back to his time at Club Brugge. Therefore, that he’d been edged towards Elland Road again caused some amusement for many fans.
The winger joined Napoli from PSV Eindhoven permanently in the summer, however, it hasn’t all gone to plan.
Lang has had an eventful few months. It all started with a bit of a war of words with Antonio Conte due to a lack of game time. Lang then began featuring more, and has started three of the past four Serie A games.
Despite that, his exit from Naples is possible. Galatasaray have emerged as a suitor but Fulham can hijack Lang’s switch to Turkey.
Gianluca di Marzio spoke to Sky Sport about the 26-year-old, mentioning interest from Craven Cottage.
He said – relayed by AreaNapoli: “There could be a new deal for Lang, a permanent transfer and no longer a loan. It could happen with Galatasaray or with a Premier League team trying to get involved, probably Fulham.”
The outlet go on to clarify that the winger’s sale is likely to be important for Napoli. Lorenzo Lucca is yet to make a decision about his future. This makes the Dutchman’s exit a key source of funds for the Italian champions.
Fulham pushed forward as late option
Conte’s side paid €25m to land Lang from PSV in the summer. Fulham may be able to get a permanent transfer for a little less, or perhaps a loan with obligation.
Gianluca di Marzio‘s own website offers a bit more information about the situation. It is reported that Napoli are considering a move for Hellas Verona’s Giovane.
A deal for the talent would only go through if Lang is moved on. Even though Galatasaray are progressing in a move for the Netherlands international, interest from Fulham is pushed.
Leeds United, however, appear out of the picture… for now.
