Fulham are in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Bordeaux to sign striker Josh Maja before tonight’s deadline.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who say the Cottagers are hoping to seal a loan deal with an option to buy for the former Sunderland man.
They explain that the two clubs are locked in negotiations to bring Maja back to England before tonight’s 11pm deadline, two years after his move to France.
Fulham had tried to include midfielder Jean-Michael Seri as part of the negotiations, with him having been linked with a move to the Ligue 1 club, but Bordeaux asked that the two deals be separated.
That has now seemingly happened, and they are locked in negotiations with Fulham to send Maja to Craven Cottage on loan until the end of the season.
It is likely that the striker would arrive as a replacement for Aboubakar Kamara, who, according to reports in France, is on his way to Dijon.
