It seems Bayern Munich are back for Fulham star João Palhinha with full strength.
According to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, there are ‘advanced negotiations’ between the clubs for a summer move.
It’s said Bayern Munich and Fulham have been in touch ‘for days’ following a verbal agreement. The transfer fee should be worth between €40m and €45m.
Plettenberg writes that Palhinha is hopeful that the move will be completed before the Euro 2024. He’s expected to sign a four or five-year contract with the German club.
Even though Bayern Munich have a new manager, it’s said Vincent Kompany actually has the desire of having the midfielder in his team, and it’s club president Max Eberl who’s pushing for the signing.
The Bundesliga giants had already tried to sign Palhinha back in January, and as they nearly got the transfer done then, it seemed obvious they’d try again in the summer. Now it seems they’re moving quickly to get it done as soon as possible, with the Portugal international very keen on completing the switch.
