Ernesto Valverde has given green signal for Barcelona to sign Antoine Griezmann and Neymar and ‘OK’ is plastered on the front page of today’s edition of Sport.

Valverde believes the Atletico Madrid star’s experience in the league can be vital as he doesn’t have an option like the Frenchman in the attacking division.

As the Blaugrana were focused on signing the World Cup winner, the option to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain became a reality last month. The Brazil international is clear he wants a Camp Nou return this summer.

Once Barcelona knew about his availability, the report states they didn’t think twice and launched immediately after Valverde’s approval. The manager believes it is always best to have world class players at his disposal.

The potential arrival of Griezmann and Neymar will see them join Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez as the four main options available.

After endorsing Griezmann’s transfer, the Barca boss believes the formula to add Neymar will not create any problems. He believes adding two stars will see his side boast one of the best attacks in the world.

Meanwhile, Valverde has asked his employer to offload a few of the attackers and the list includes the likes of Malcom, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembélé. There could be exits in the coming weeks.

Mundo Deportivo claims Griezmann has said Ok to Barca and now it’s for two clubs to close the deal.

Barca’s idea is to negotiate with Atletico to see if they can pay Griezmann’s fee in instalments. If they don’t agree, then they will pay his fee €120m release clause.

They claim the announcement is not imminent, but state it is unlikely to go beyond next week. He is expected to be available for Ernesto Valverde’s first pre-season training on July 14th.
