Kim Hellberg to Middlesbrough started off with drama, as Boro snatched the manager from Swansea City’s clutches, but since then everything has somewhat slowed down.
His switch from Hammarby was meant to be relatively straightforward. There’s a release clause to pay, and then subsequently Middlesbrough can take their man.
However, things have dragged on in recent days. That’s partly down to a work permit process, but also down to finalising talks between all parties.
Whilst Hammarby have acknowledged their manager is leaving, and Hellberg wants the move, there’s not been a great deal of rush.
Middlesbrough presentation on the way
Fotbollskanalen report Kim Hellberg has travelled to England to be presented by Middlesbrough. Assistant coach David Selini has gone with him, and will be part of the coaching team at Boro.
It’s believed the pair are about to be presented by Middlesbrough, although the Swedish source don’t know exactly. It’s the travelling back to England which is their own update on this ongoing process, and that the clause has been activated.
