Earlier today, we covered the latest from Sweden on Kim Hellberg moving to Middlesbrough.
After Boro worked to persuade him to ditch Swansea City advances, they’ve been in the process of agreeing the final details.
That’s dragged on, and is the major reason there hasn’t been announcement yet.
The work permit process also had to be navigated. There was never a chance of it failing, so the move could have been announced ahead.
Hellberg is now in England, Middlesbrough have activated the clause with Hammarby, and the manager’s presentation is on the way. Since the start, David Selini taking the same path to the Championship club has been taken as given.
Sellini isn’t the only one accompanying Hellberg to Middlesbrough, reports Swedish newspaper Expressen. Anes Mravac is also moving.
Anes Mravac is currently interim manager at Malmö FF, but he’s worked with Hellberg and Sellini previously and wants to do so again. Subsequently, Mravac will leave Malmö FF and move to Middlesbrough, but only in December.
