If Conor Gallagher was hoping to make a positive impression early on at Atletico Madrid after arriving from Chelsea in the summer, then it appears he has succeeded.

AS cover the midfielder today and how his small gestures early on have already helped to win over fans at the club.

According to the newspaper, the midfielder, who finally moved in the summer after a drawn-out departure from Chelsea, already ‘dazzles’ the Atletico fans.

They say that Gallagher is already an idol in Madrid for the Atletico fans after showing respect and plenty of effort to win them over from day one.

He may not have been the star arrival given the signing of Julian Alvarez, but the former Chelsea man has already won over fans.

Not only is he seen as an ideal fit for Diego Simeone as he’s a ‘pitbull’, something he’s already shown on the pitch, but he’s also shown a personality that they appreciate.

Simeone has already been publicly praising him and his attitude while his actions off of the pitch are earning him plenty of love.

His latest positive move was dressing his nephew, who is only a few months old, in the new red and white Atletico kit and sharing it on his social pages. This went down very well with the Atletico fanbase.

Even his decision to speak small, limited Spanish at his unveiling went down well as has his interactions with fans while his messy exit from Chelsea went through.

Some have even noticed that he deliberately cuts his socks so that he doesn’t damage the club’s name on them, a small detail that plenty have appreciated.

It’s all going well so far and while the love might have been hard to come by at Chelsea, that’s not been the case at the Wanda Metropolitano.
