Filipe Jota’s career has taken some strange twists and turns since he began starring for Celtic.
He joined Al-Ittihad from the Hoops but the move didn’t work out and that became clear quite early on. He is now looking for an exit from the club, and has even been linked with a return to Celtic.
O Jogo in Portugal have reported on the player’s situation, with Al-Ittihad studying the right sort of exit for the winger.
There is interest from Al-Fateh in Saudi Arabia but the player is quite keen on returning to Europe and wants to essentially relaunch his lost career.
Al-Ittihad would certainly not rule out earning a fee from his sale, with the player having lost trust in manager Laurent Blanc.
A meeting has taken place between Jota and the club to sort out the future of the winger, whose exit is something Blanc now encourages.
Could this give Brendan Rodgers a chance to take him back to Celtic? The longer the window goes on, the bigger chance Celtic would have.
