Reports from the Dutch media on Saturday morning state Tyrell Malacia has reached an agreement to leave Manchester United before the end of the current transfer window.
The 25-year-old has had serious struggles with injuries and fitness since moving to the Premier League club. He arrived from Feyenoord in 2022 but still hasn’t been able to have a good run of fitness and his longest spell on the sidelines came after knee surgery.
There was some hope that he may be able to find a home in Ruben Amorim’s system, but it now appears that won’t be the case, at least until the end of the current season.
Voetbal International report Malacia has reached an agreement to leave Manchester United on loan until the end of this campaign.
They say this information is coming from sources close to the player, and whilst the destination club isn’t named, and may not have been found yet, that he’s leaving is seen as near-certain.
On the exit, Voetbal International say ‘Initially, this will be via a loan transfer’, which may well suggest a permanent transfer is on the cards for the summer.
Joost Blaauwhof, who works for the Dutch outlet, has stated: ‘Tyrell Malacia is leaving Manchester United. Sources close to the player have confirmed this.
The left back is close to an agreement with a new club and will be loaned to a top European competition. Ruben Amorim has given approval for the loan.’
