Leeds United and Paris Saint-Germain are among several clubs to have Wolfsberger AC’s Chibuike Nwaiwu on their agenda, according to a report from France.

The 22-year-old joined the Austrian club in September 2024 and signed a three-year contract.

Top Mercato now report Leeds United and several Ligue 1 sides, including PSG, are in the picture to sign him.

The French clubs that are showing interest in the centre-back are PSG, RC Lens, Lille, Marseille and RC Strasbourg.

The report adds the Champions League winners have asked for information about a potential transfer. It isn’t made clear whether PSG contacted the player’s camp, Wolfsberger or both.

Nwaiwu has played 44 matches for Wolfsberger so far, of which 15 are from this season. The defender has contributed six goals [five goals and an assist].

As well as the top clubs in France, the Nigerian is attracting interest from the Whites. Top Mercato states Leeds United and Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring the player.

Transfermarkt currently value Nwaiwu, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, at €7m.

For now, Leeds United are keeping an eye on the versatile player.
