Manchester United have ‘shown interest’ in signing Flamengo right-back Wesley in the coming months.
That’s according to Bolavip, who report that the 21-year-old has earned admiring glances from Manchester United with his performances.
They report that Flamengo have been showing improvement on the pitch of late and that’s been thanks to step up from several players.
Wesley is one of them and following a failed move to Europe in the summer, could be handed a second shot in the coming months.
Flamengo believe he is getting better and better and earning appreciation because of it, something which can help them secure a bigger profit on him down the line.
They want to sell for €25m and feel they can do so, particularly as Manchester United have now ‘shown interest in signing him’.
There’s no mention of how Manchester United have shown this interest, just that they have and it’s making Flamengo believe they can get a good deal.
We have to question that on the basis that Manchester United don’t particularly need a right-back at this moment in time after signing Noussair Mazraoui in the summer transfer window. They also have Diogo Dalot for the right-back spot.
It seems unlikely they’ll be rushing to spend €25m on Wesley because of that, with the money needed elsewhere if it is to be spent.
