Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez is likely to continue with the Premier League side amid claims of Juventus interest. 

The Serie A side want a new stopper and have been working on a deal for the 33-year-old.

On July 23rd, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy of Juve’s agreement with the Aston Villa star. However, there’s a gap in valuation between the two clubs, without the figures being mentioned.

Four days later, Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti suggested the Argentina international wants to leave Villa Park this summer.

He said: “We already have two goalkeepers, we want competitiveness and we are looking for another goalkeeper. We’ll see, there are many who will now find new positions. Dibu [Emiliano] Martinez is one of those who can probably change teams.”

There’s also been Italian reports presenting Martínez as furious over the failed move. That anger was directed at Aston Villa.
