Everton could become a ‘strong hypothesis’ for Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição, who is waiting to see what jobs may be available to him.
That’s according to Mais Futebol, who report that Conceição is keen to hold off on taking any jobs to see what comes up in the coming weeks.
The former Porto boss has been named as an option for several sides over the last week as he looks to get back to work following his departure from Porto.
Former club Nantes are believed to be keen but have only held informal talks about the 50-year-old, while West Ham are also considered an option if they sack Julen Lopetegui.
Incoming Everton owners the Friedkin Group are also believed to thinking highly of Conceição and could move for him if they decide to replace Sean Dyche.
Mais Futebol back this up and say Everton could become a ‘strong hypothesis’ for Conceição once the Friedkins have completed their takeover at Goodison Park.
Thus, they are on the Portuguese coach’s list of potential options alongside the likes of RB Leipzig and West Ham and he would prefer to remain available in case they approach him.
That would suggest he would be interested in a potential move to Merseyside, or at least hearing what the Friedkins might have to say if they decide to make a change.
