The Brazilian press now confirms that Liverpool have made an offer to the AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson.

According to Globo Esporte, officials from the Reds have have submitted a proposal with personal terms to the goalkeeper, as they negotiate directly with his agents.

The problem is that Alisson is still waiting for Real Madrid. And now that Julen Lopetegui has been confirmed as the club’s new manager, the negotiations with the Spanish side are expected to have developments in the next few weeks.

Globo Esporte claims that Roma still don’t have a bid for Alisson in hand, so what Liverpool are trying to do is to convince the player to join them first.

Real Madrid have been keen on Alisson since the end of the Champions League, but had their plans delayed due to Zinedine Zidane’s unexpected departure.

Currently without an answer, Liverpool are already looking for other options in the market. Chelsea are considered to be the underdogs, but are still not ruled out in the race.

As reported by Globo Esporte, the player has asked his entourage not to tell him anything in the next few days, as he prepares himself for his World Cup debut in Brazil’s match against Switzerland on Sunday.
