Hellas Verona defender Eros Pisano signed a two-year contract at the start of the season, but with just one year left on his contract and the Serie A side being relegated, he could be leaving in the summer.
According to SportItalia (via TMW), Swansea could be interested in signing the 29-year-old, who made 34 league appearances for Verona, scoring 5 goals this season. It is reported Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin is keen on signing the defender, who should be available for a nominal fee.
Verona signed the Italian defender in a €1m deal from Palermo, and he’s primarily a right back, but can also play further up in the midfield. Swansea are likely to get their man, if they’re genuinely interested in signing him, and a move to the Premier League should also be tempting for Pisano.
Swansea are now repeatedly linked to players in Italy, thanks to their manager, and the club’s new ownership will likely give agents there some enthusiasm over possible deals.
