Raphael Varane to Manchester United has gone a little crazy on Monday, after talks were held with Real Madrid on Sunday.

Today’s edition of Marca had the story splashed across their front page, and claimed an agreement between the two clubs is imminent.

Then followed more reports from Spain, with nearly every major outlet now presenting Varane to Manchester United as a move which looks likely to happen. Not just that, it’s thought the defender’s transfer should be sorted out quickly.

Claims also came from England, and now France has joined Monday’s Varane Madness.

Julien Maynard, who works for TF1, says Manchester United and Real Madrid are ‘very close’ to reaching an agreement for the move.

The transfer fee is put at €45-50m, and it’s stated the Red Devils want to formalise everything this week.

Maynard reported four days ago that the Premier League club and Varane had already agreed in principle on a move, so it was just a matter of the clubs sorting things out.
