Wolverhampton and Jorge Mendes is a love story that keeps on giving, and it appears the super agent is about to deliver once again, if reports in France are to be believed.

The man who represents Cristiano Ronaldo and Eliaquim Mangala, among others, was reported as being in Monaco on Monday to discuss the Ligue 1 club’s transfer business ahead of a busy end of the transfer window, and Ivan Cavaleiro seems to be the first to get a move.

According to Le Parisien correspondent Florian Fieschi, who covers Monaco for the daily newspaper, the Portuguese winger is on the verge of becoming a Wolverhampton player.

The French journalist claims the deal is done, although there’s no specification as to what the deal actually is (a loan? a transfer?), and Jorge Mendes is the one that helped push the deal through.

The Championship club, when made official, will be getting a strong winger blessed with pace and good dribbling ability also capable of playing as a centre-forward if push comes to shove.

The 22-year-old saw a promising start to the 2015-16 season cut short by back problems that persisted from November to March.

Now fully fit and playing a part in two of his club’s first three games of the season, it appears Cavaleiro will be playing in the Championship next season.
