Earlier today, we relayed news from from Yahoo Sport! France’s journalist Manu Lonjon, who claimed Stoke City player Badou Ndiaye could be on his way to Sheffield United.

However, he has now provided an update and the deal is off.

The Stoke City player has previously said he wanted to leave the club to in order to play in better leagues so Sheffield United sounded like a good option.

However, according to Lonjon, the former Galatasaray player has rejected a chance to move to Bramall Lane.

The Senegalese midfielder now looks set to stay at Stoke City for the time being, but it’s still very likely we will see him leave the club at some point in the near future.

After spending last season on loan at Galatasaray, Ndiaye has been linked with a return to Turkey with Fenerbahce mentioned as a possible destination for the 28 year old.

Ndiaye cost Stoke €16m back in 2018 when he arrived from Galatasaray and he is under contract with his club until June 2022.
