Going into next summer’s transfer window, there will be one big question (unless it’s already been answered by then): where will Adrien Rabiot be playing?
As things stand, the France international hasn’t committed to anyone, despite teams like Tottenham, Liverpool, Barcelona and many others reportedly circling, hoping to lure him in on a free.
It won’t be cheap, as he’ll want a lot of money, but, all in all, there’s no denying whoever gets him will be signing a solid player who still has room to improve.
With this in mind, France Football decided to have a look at which club would suit Rabiot best, and they looked at a number of points that need to be fulfilled.
The first one is Champions League football, as they believe there is little chance of the midfielder wanting to turn his back on the elite European competition.
Secondly, they feel Rabiot will want a club where he can help contribute to a brighter future, which certainly bring Spurs to the fore, since they remain on a quest for a first trophy since the 2008 League Cup.
Ideally, he would also be joining a manager capable of helping him improve his game, which is where Mauricio Pochettino would come in, already getting the best out of a rather thin squad this season, constantly getting the best out of his players (latest six games or so aside).
All in all, France Football feel a club looking to start a new cycle with their shiny new stadium like Tottenham, where the Argentine manager could help him greatly, would be the ‘best compromise’ for Rabiot.
Whether they are willing to meet him financially, however, is an entire different matter altogether.
