On the verge of finally recovering from his terrible knee injury suffered back in November, Jordan Amavi, who was helpless from the stands as he saw Aston Villa get relegated, is attracting attention from abroad.

Linked with Liverpool and AC Milan in the past, the player could now be returning to France, where Monaco are allegedly interested.

According to Florian Fieschi, a Le Parisien journalist based in the principality, the Aston Villa left-back is on the Ligue 1 club’s shortlist for the gap in the squad at left-back caused by Fabio Coentrao’s impending return to Real Madrid.

The French defender started off the season strongly for the Villains under Tim Sherwood, but his knee injury during a France U21 game quickly put an end to his season.

Still only 22, the player has a lot of time to put this bad injury behind him, and with three assists in ten appearances last season prior his setback, you can see why so many teams are reportedly interested.
