There’s a big battle building to sign Fulham striker Carlos Vinícius, but not for this summer, according to reports from Brazil.
Premier League Brasil writes that there are four clubs who are hopeful of signing the centre-forward for free in 2025, when his contract with the Whites expires.
Palmeiras, São Paulo, Bahia and Atlétic-MG are those interested in Carlos Vinícius, who’s currently loaned by Fulham to Gaalatasaray.
The striker joined the Turkish club in February, and so far has two goals and one assist in 12 appearances there.
PL Brasil claims that a loan extension or a permanent move to Galatasaray are actually ‘ruled out’, so Fulham would need to find a new solution for next season.
The Brazilian attention is aimed towards the start of 2025, when the player will be able to sign a pre-contract with any club he wants.
Since those are clubs who do have some money, perhaps Fulham could find a sale by negotiating Carlos Vinícius’ sale this summer, as long as thy don’t make huge requests. That would be a way to avoid losing him for free and give the interested sides the chance to avoid bigger competition is he becomes a free agent.
